Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Biosecurity in industrial poultry is considered one of the most important tools for preventing the introduction, development, and spread of both infectious and non-infectious diseases. It aims at promoting animal welfare through the proper and rational application of management practices throughout the entire poultry production chain: from hatchery, which represents the starting point to farming up to the end product.

This Special Issue welcomes original articles and relevant reviews focusing on all subjects and management practises dealing with biosecurity from practical application up to legal considerations, feeding strategies, genetic selection, and advancements in diagnostics (as well as advances in poultry vaccination, since the flock immunity is the corner stone to cope disease occurrence).
