Plants 2020 Young Investigator Award (2,000 CHF)
We are pleased to announce that Plants is now inviting nominations for the 2020 Young Investigator Award. This prize will be given to one young investigator in recognition of her/his excellence in the field of plant research. All nominations will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee led by the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Dilantha Fernando.
Eligibility and Requirements:
–– Ground-breaking research and a significant contribution to the advancement of the field;
–– Not be more than eight years since the nominee received their PhD (i.e., PhD or MD by 15 September 2020) and they should not have a permanent professorship;
–– 40 years of age or under (by 31 December 2020);
–– Candidates must be nominated by a senior scientist. List of Documents for Application:
–– Detailed CV, including an updated publication list and a list of research grants;
–– Scanned copy of the applicant’s PhD/M.D. certificate;
–– A copy of the birth certificate or other proof of age;
–– Signed nomination letters from at least one established senior scientist. The letter should highlight the applicant’s achievements and contributions to the field of plant research.
The award will consist of:
–– 2000 Swiss Francs;
–– An offer to publish a paper free of charge without a fixed deadline in Plants (subject to peer review).
