Dear Colleagues,
As Editor-in-Chief of Photonics, I am pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 Travel Award sponsored by Photonics. The award was granted to Dr. Daniela Lo Presti, postdoctoral fellow of the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma. She will be supported with 500 Swiss Francs towards travel expenses to attend the 4th Annual IEEE International Symposium on Medical Measurements & Applications to be held at Istanbul, Turkey.
Dr. Daniela Lo Presti’s current research focuses on fiber optic sensors; fiber brag gratings; textile engineering; biomechanics; motion analysis; biomedical signal processing; optical fibers; optical sensing; fiber optic technology; and motion capture.
Photonics is proud to support this young researcher working in the field of optics and photonics and wish her further success in her career.
