Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Polypharmacy is pressing and important problem in elderly patients with mental disorders. To improve their Quality of Life (QOL), polypharmacy should be more discussed. Here, we invited 2 young energetic pharmacists and 2 famous professors. They major in mental disorders.

Four representative mental diseases, i.e., depression, schizophrenia, anxiety and dementia are tarageted in this issue. All of authors will discuss the reason why polypharmacy is caused and describe the counterplan.

Various data in elderly patients with mental diseases are collected and discussed about polypharmacy.

We surely hope that this issue will help the achievement of safe and secure medication by proper prescription to improve elder patients’ QOL.
