Young Investigator Award

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Magnetochemistry 2021 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Mauro Perfetti.

Dr. Mauro Perfetti is a research fellow in the Department of Chemistry, “Ugo Schiff”, at the University of Florence, Florence, Italy. Dr. Mauro Perfetti’s research focuses on the magnetic properties of metal complexes, particularly investigating how external variables, such as temperature and magnetic fields, affect magnetic anisotropy. He is an expert in using Cantilever Torque Magnetometry to investigate and elucidate the mechanisms of magnetic anisotropy of mononuclear and polynuclear metal complexes. Dr. Mauro Perfetti received his PhD in 2015 and has an outstanding publication record, comprising 37 publications (with 15 first authorships) in international journals, with a total citation of 2119, an impact factor of over 300, and an h-index of 20 (Scholar, 2 March 2022). We look forward to seeing his further accomplishments in the field of magnetochemistry. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Mauro Perfetti for his outstanding achievements.

As the awardee, Dr. Mauro Perfetti will receive a prize of CHF 1800, the opportunity to publish a peer-reviewed paper free of charge before 2022 in Magnetochemistry, and an engraved plaque.

We would like to thank all the nominators from various fields of study for their participation and all the Award Committee Members for their evaluation of the many excellent nominations.
