Journal of Fungi Receives an Increased CiteScore of 8.4


We are pleased to share that Journal of Fungi (JoF, ISSN: 2309-608X) has received an increased CiteScore of 8.4 in June 2025. The CiteScore ranks the journal 54 out of 731 titles (Q1) in the “Ecology, Evolution, Behavior and Systematics” category, ranks the journal 48 out of 534 (Q1) in the “Plant Science” category, and ranks the journal 30 out of 148 titles (Q1) in the “Microbiology (medical)” category, an impressive achievement for a journal running in Volume 11.

The current CiteScores measure the average number of citations within a journal over a four-year window (2021–2024). The Scopus database provides a comprehensive suite of metrics that support informed publishing strategies, research evaluation and enable benchmarking of journal performance.
