Feature papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. A Feature
Paper should be a substantial original Article that involves several techniques or approaches, provides an outlook for
future research directions and describes possible research applications.
Feature papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and must receive
positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world.
Editors select a small number of articles recently published in the journal that they believe will be particularly
interesting to readers, or important in the respective research area. The aim is to provide a snapshot of some of the
most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.
As Editor-in-Chief of JMSE, I am pleased to announce the winners of the JMSE 2024 Travel Award. The award has been granted to Mr. Jayasekara R. Jayasekara, a PhD student at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Louisiana State University, USA, who will attend the 10th Young Coastal Scientists and Engineers Conference, held on 4–6 June 2024 in Canada; and Mr. Thein Than Tun, a PhD candidate at the School of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, who will attend the 43rd International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering, held on 9–14 June 2024 in Singapore.
As the awardees, they will each receive an honorarium of CHF 800 and an electronic certificate.
With so many high-quality applicants, the evaluation process and final decision were challenging. We would like to thank all the applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics.
