Carbon Composites

A section of Journal of Composites Science (ISSN 2504-477X).

Section Information

The section “Carbon Composites” mainly focuses on a class of advanced engineering materials in which carbon fibers serve as the primary reinforcement within a matrix system. By combining high-strength and high-stiffness carbon fibers with different matrix materials such as carbon-based, resin-based, ceramic-based, or metal-based, it is possible to fabricate composite materials with features such as lightweight, high strength, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, resistance to thermal shock, and excellent thermal conductivity. Compared to traditional materials, the composite materials have a much broader application prospect.
