The American Association of Professional Apiculturists (AAPA) became an Affiliated Society Member of Insects.
Insects received its first impact factor of 1.848, ranks Q1 (21/96) in the Entomology category.
Insects commenced the Young Investigator Award project.

2019 Insects changed from quarterly to monthly issue release.
The Impact Factor increased to 2.139, ranks Q1 (18/98) in the Entomology category.
Insects published its 1000th paper.
