2019 Insects adopted a monthly publication schedule.

2021 Insects held the 1st International Electronic Conference on Entomology (IECE).
Insects established the new section Medical and Livestock Entomology.
Insect and Human Societies was divided into two sections, Insect Societies and Sociality and Role of Insects in Human Society.
2024 Insect Societies and Sociality was renamed as Social Insects.
