Infrastructures Affiliated to iSMARTi

We are delighted to announce that Infrastructures is affiliated to the International Society for Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Transport Infrastructures (iSMARTi). iSMARTi was established in 2004 as a culmination of an internationally concerted effort among researchers and practitioners actively engaged in maintaining and rehabilitating transportation infrastructures.

Dr. Hosin "David" Lee, the President of iSMARTi, says he is “excited about the collaboration between iSMARTi and Infrastructures journal because it will be mutually beneficial.” Dr. Pedro Arias-Sánchez, the Editor-in-Chief of Infrastructures also states that “iSMARTi is working to respond to key problems for the development of societies and countries; Infrastructures journal would like to contribute to the dissemination of this work. It is a good opportunity for collaboration between Infrastructures and iSMARTi that we should not miss.

This society is dedicated to the theme of maintenance and rehabilitation of infrastructure assets of the transport system including corridors, airports, roads, pavements, tunnels and bridges, railroads, ports, dockland, utilities, and multimodal facilities. The society will support various different periodic events (conferences, workshops, short courses, technology synthesis reports), which will have the objective of promoting the exchange of know-how between the professionals involved in each of those infrastructure assets.
