International Symposium on Cyclodextrins in 2022 (ICS 2022)
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to announce the 20th International Cyclodextrin Symposium (ICS2022).
ICS2022 will be held during June 13-17, 2022 at Giardini Naxos (Messina, ITALY) at UNAHOTELS Naxos Beach Sicilia and will be jointly organized by the National Council of Research (CNR) and the University of Messina, Italy. The first ICS was held in Budapest, Hungary in 1981, and organized by Prof. J. Szejtli. The 13th ICS was held in Turin, Italy, in 2006 and was organized by Prof. F. Trotta. Hence, ICS2022 will be the second symposium of this series hosted in Italy. This symposium follows the 19th ICS held on April 2018 in Tokyo, Japan.
All scientists belonging to the international academic community and to the industrial network interested in the cyclodextrin (CD) science are warmly invited.
We are planning different sections ranging from the fundamentals of various aspects of the cyclodextrins chemistry, physics and materials technology to the applications in food, environmental, pharmaceutical and life sciences, opening a window on last progresses on supramolecules, polymers and nanoconstructs based on CD. The ICS2022 will provide the chance for scientists working in different field of cyclodextrin research to meet and learn from each other, thus enhancing collaborations and scientific contacts.
We envisaged to include in the ICS 2022 program plenary lectures, key-notes, oral and poster presentations, dealing with the above-mentioned subjects. In this regard, as opening plenary speaker, we will have the honor to host the Nobel Laureate 2016 for Chemistry, Sir James Fraser Stoddart, which has already confirmed his presence with a lecture on the following theme: “Cyclodextrin-Based Molecular-Organic Frameworks : Emergence Opens Up a Whole New World of Wonders”.
We are also planning different reduction/and or prizes for young scientists and students.
