Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Digital health encompasses the use of health information technologies (e.g., IT, CRM, wearables, mobile health, telehealth and telemedicine), and other means (e.g., digital therapies, self-management devices) of maintaining or improving health and value in healthcare.

The focus of this Special Issue is how digital health impacts timely access to optimal patient outcomes. Specific topics can include areas of digital health focused on care access, patient flow, patient support services (e.g., care gap management, care coordination, care management, etc.), patient self-management, real-time performance improvement analytics, etc.

Submissions should include: (1) a focus on a defined area of digital health; (2) a review of findings from previous scoping or systemic reviews, including an extension of prior work; (3) an overall assessment of impact or lack thereof; (4) reasons for success or lack thereof; and (5) future expectations.
