Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (IJERPH) is pleased to announce a forthcoming Special Issue dedicated to active health promotion in older age, a topic of growing relevance in the context of global health and demographic transitions. As populations continue to age on a global scale, there is a pressing need for scientific insights that inform strategies to maintain and enhance health, autonomy, and quality of life in later years.
We are pleased to invite you to contribute your research to this Special Issue. Our goal is to highlight recent advances and foster dialogue on key challenges and opportunities in aging and health. We particularly welcome submissions addressing sarcopenia, frailty, falls, cognitive impairment, and the role of exercise in healthy aging. All types of epidemiological studies are encouraged, including randomized controlled trials, observational studies, and systematic reviews, especially those with direct implications for health promotion and public health interventions in aging populations.
Suggested themes include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Physical activity and exercise interventions in older adults;
- The prevention and management of frailty and sarcopenia;
- Cognitive health and the impact of active lifestyles;
- Fall prevention and functional autonomy;
- Health literacy and behavioral change in aging;
- Public policies and community-based programs for healthy aging.
We look forward to your valuable contributions to this timely and impactful Issue.
