Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to contribute to this Special Issue focused on US Colored Troops (USCT) ancestors who served in the American Civil War and their descendants whose lives and careers continued the USCT struggle for Black Civil and Human Rights. This Special Issue seeks to make important contributions to our expanded understanding of the critical role of USCT in the Union victory. A distinctive innovation of this Special Issue is the explicit linkage of USCT ancestors to descendants who tell how their lives and careers have been influenced by their USCT heritage.

We request that, prior to submitting a manuscript, interested authors initially submit a proposed title and an abstract of 200 words summarizing their intended contribution. Please send it to the guest editors (Email A) or to the Genealogy editorial office (genealogy@mdpi.com). Abstracts will be reviewed by the guest editors for the purposes of ensuring proper fit within the scope of this Special Issue. Full manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer-review.
