positive feedback from the reviewers.
Editor’s Choice articles are based on recommendations by the scientific editors of MDPI journals from around the world.

most exciting work published in the various research areas of the journal.
As Editor-in-Chief of Forests, I am pleased to announce the two awardees for the 2018 Forests Graduate Student/Post-Doc Travel Awards.
Dr. Danielle E. Marias, a post-doctoral fellow from the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM, USA, is carrying out research to investigate plant physiological responses to environmental stress in light of climate change, food security, and bioenergy.
Ms. Monika Shea, a PhD student at University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI, USA, is studying the identification processes controlling vegetation in ecotones.
We had many impressive applicants for this award, and we congratulate our two recipients.
