International Conference on Evolving Cities 2022 (ICEC 2022)
The International Conference on Evolving Cities (ICEC 2022) will take place from the 13th to 15th of July 2022 at the newly built University of Southampton Centenary Building (B100) situated within the Highfield Campus at the University of Southampton, Southampton, UK.
Following the success of ICEC 2021, the conference will address current challenges facing cities and their evolution, including, but not limited to: infrastructure, energy, data, carbon, and comfort. Cities consume around 75% of our energy and produce a similar amount of emissions, and the provision of services and infrastructure within cities directly impacts both the built environment and the quality of life of residents and visitors. Human activities have widespread impacts on ecology within and surrounding the city; safeguarding citizens, nature, and economies within our cities from the impacts of climate change is therefore crucial for city sustainability.
