Dear readers of Energies, We are pleased to announce that the winner of 2017 Energies Young Investigator Award is Dr. Praveen Linga. Dr. Praveen Linga is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore. Dr. Linga’s works on both fundamental and applied aspects of research on clathrate hydrates. In a short span of 6+ years of independent research, he has built and developed state-of-the-art research facilities for macro, micro and molecular level investigations pertaining to his research programme on gas (clathrate) hydrates. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Praveen Linga for a well-deserved prize. As the awardee, Dr. Linga will receive an honorarium of 2000 CHF, an offer to publish a paper free of charge without a fixed deadline in Energies, and an engraved plaque. We would like to thank all the Award Committee members for their assiduous evaluation of the candidates and all the applicants for submitting their fascinating and diverse range of research topics.
