Updated Impact Factor for Energies – 2.072
We are pleased to report the 2014 Impact Factor for Energies. According to the 2015 release of the Journal Citation Reports® Science Edition (published by Thomson Reuters in June 2015), the updated Impact Factor for Energies is 2.072. It has risen from 1.602 in the previous year (+29%), as illustrated in the figure below. The 5-Year Impact Factor is 2.436. Energies now ranks 43/88 (Q2) in the category ‘Energy & Fuels’.

Energies Best Paper Award 2013
With the start of 2013, Energies is instituting an annual award to recognize outstanding papers related to scientific research, technology development, engineering, and the studies in policy and management that meet the aims, scope and high standards of this journal.
We are pleased to announce the “Energies Best Paper Award” for 2013. Nominations were solicited from the Editorial Board members, with all papers published in 2009 eligible for consideration.

Energies Special Issue "Wind Turbines" closing up - 16 papers published
We are pleased to report that special issue "Wind Turbines" has been successfully closed. 16 papers have been published in this issue.
Professor Lance Manuel, one of the Guest Editors of this issue, says "The wide-ranging set of articles from authors all over the world reflects the growing importance of wind energy development and highlights notable research studies. The articles cover a comprehensive set of topics that deal with measurements, inflow characterization, array effects, design, reliability, control, and power for small and large wind turbines."
A new special issue on this topic is planned to be set up soon for the year 2013, aiming to further encourage scholars in this field to share their research results in a timely way.
