Today’s Dentistry Between Classic and Modern
The Congress of the College of Dentists in Bucharest has become a true benchmark of excellence in dentistry.
The theme of this year's edition is “Today’s Dentistry: Between Classic and Modern” and opens an essential dialogue about the balance between the established rigour of clinical practice and the new approaches brought by innovation, technology and, in short, everything that drives progress in the field.
The President of the College of Dentists in Bucharest, Prof. Dr. Horia Mihai Barbu, sends all participants an exhortation to reason and attention to the patient.
“TRADITIONAL VALUES in dentistry. The dentist's well-founded knowledge is constantly being improved. Continuing education always offers us the best solutions in the treatment offered to patients. At the same time, we live in a spectacular period of technological progress that interferes in all areas of medicine, and we, as dentists, will have to ASSUME A NEW ROLE: To find balance. The doctor does not work only with data, that is why I will take into account the experiences and needs of patients, something that no technology will be able to do, not having this human side. Certainly, technology will become an indispensable ally in dentistry as well, but LET'S NOT FORGET: only the doctor decides how and when to use it. The final decision remains in our hands.”
