Dear Colleagues,
The growing complexity of contemporary economic, social and environmental challenges requires advanced computational approaches capable of supporting analysis, modelling, optimisation and evidence-based decision making. Rapid progress in computational intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, simulation, optimisation and high-performance computing is creating new opportunities to understand complex systems, predict their behaviour and design effective solutions for sustainable development.
This Special Issue aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for recent advances in computational methods applied to sustainable economic, social and environmental systems. We welcome original research that develops novel algorithms, computational models, simulation techniques, optimisation frameworks, intelligent decision-support tools and data-driven methodologies addressing real-world sustainability challenges.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, computational intelligence, artificial intelligence, predictive modelling, computational social science, optimisation, management analytics, natural language processing, and digital twins. We additionally seek contributions on risk analysis, engineering computation, sustainable energy systems, environmental modelling, healthcare analytics, smart cities, business intelligence and computational methods supporting public policy and governance.
We encourage submissions that explore both theoretical developments and practical applications, particularly those that demonstrate how computational approaches can improve the understanding, management and resilience of complex systems across multiple domains.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Computation is an international peer-reviewed open access monthly journal published by MDPI.

Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
