Early-Career Women Award
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the winners of the Biosensors 2021 Early-Career Women Award. The Evaluation Committee was very impressed with the high quality of the work presented for consideration for this award. After careful evaluation, we can now announce the following:
The first prize has been awarded to:
Dr. Jayoung Kim

Two second prizes have been awarded to:
Dr. Ieva Plikusiene
NanoTechnas - Center of Nanotechnology and Material Science, Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences, Vilnius University, Vilnius, Lithuania
Dr. Sevinc Kurbanoglu
Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ankara University, Ankara, Turkey
As the awardees, Dr. Jayoung Kim will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000 (Swiss francs) and an offer to publish a paper, free of charge, in Biosensors before the end of 2022, after peer review; Dr. Ieva Plikusienė and Dr. Sevinc Kurbanoglu will receive an honorarium of CHF 800 (Swiss francs) and a CHF 800 discount to publish a paper in Biosensors in 2022, following peer review. All the winners will receive engraved plaques.
We would like to thank all the nominators from various fields of study for their participation, as well as all the Award Committee Members for their evaluation of the many excellent nominations.
