Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Gastroenterology and hepatology belong to highly dynamic areas in medicine. Cancer, metabolic disorders, microbiota, inflammation, environmental conditions, and many more factors are all manifestations of the continuously changing face of gastrointestinal pathologies. Our knowledge of their clinical presentation, pharmacological approach, and possible outcomes continues to increase, mainly due to ongoing research in this field. Disorders of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract together with liver diseases (e.g., reflux disease, gastritis, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, alcohol-related liver disease, and fatty liver disease) constitute some of the most common medical problems worldwide. Comprehensive reviews collecting up-to-date findings are crucial for understanding and managing gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Therefore, we encourage you to contribute review articles and other manuscripts to this Special Issue, titled “Feature Reviews in Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases”, discussing various recent aspects of gastrointestinal and hepatic issues.
