Dear Colleagues,
Glioblastoma remains the most aggressive and lethal primary brain tumor in adults, associated with profound molecular heterogeneity, therapy resistance, and extremely poor clinical outcomes. Despite standard treatments including surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, long-term survival remains dismal, underscoring the critical need to advance our understanding of its molecular pathology and develop innovative therapeutic strategies. This urgent clinical demand highlights the significance of translating cutting-edge basic research into effective clinical applications. We are pleased to invite you to contribute high-quality original research and review articles to this Special Issue.
This Special Issue aims to integrate recent advances in molecular pathology and emerging therapies for glioblastoma, providing a comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art research and promoting interdisciplinary communication. The topic aligns well with the scope of Biomedicines, which focuses on translational biomedical research, molecular mechanisms, drug development, and clinical innovation. By gathering high-impact studies, this Special Issue intends to form a cohesive collection of at least 10 articles, with the potential for publication in book format to maximize academic influence.
In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Molecular pathology and genetic/epigenetic alterations in glioblastoma
- Tumor heterogeneity, microenvironment, and mechanisms of therapy resistance
- Novel biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic monitoring
- Targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and combination strategies
- Innovative drug delivery systems and nanotherapeutic approaches
- Translational research and clinical trial advances
