Dear Colleagues,
Genomic assay technologies have fundamentally transformed biomedical research and clinical practice, enabling the precise characterization of genetic variation, gene expression profiles, epigenetic landscapes, and molecular signatures underlying human health and disease. From next-generation sequencing and CRISPR-based diagnostics to spatial transcriptomics and multi-omics integration, these advanced platforms are driving breakthroughs in disease mechanism elucidation, biomarker discovery, and personalized therapeutic strategies across oncology, immunology, neurology, cardiovascular medicine, and the study of rare genetic disorders. However, critical challenges remain in assay standardization, clinical validation, data interpretation, equitable implementation, and the translation of genomic findings into improved patient outcomes.
This Special Issue aims to highlight cutting-edge genomic assay technologies and their biomedical applications, particularly on the genetic polymorphisms considered potential biomarkers. We invite the submission of original research and comprehensive reviews that explore novel assay platforms, bioinformatics pipelines for genomic data analysis, genome-wide association studies, genetic polymorphic studies, biomarker discovery, and multi-omics approaches for disease characterization. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following: liquid biopsy and circulating nucleic acid analysis; pharmacogenomics and drug response prediction; functional genomics and high-throughput screening; disease modeling using organoids and patient-derived systems; and the integration of genomic data with therapeutic development. We also welcome studies that address biomarker validation, resistance mechanism discovery, and translational strategies bridging laboratory discovery to clinical application.
We seek contributions that will accelerate the integration of genomic assay technologies into biomedical research and clinical care, ultimately advancing precision therapeutics and improving patient outcomes across diverse disease contexts.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process.
