Dear Colleagues,
In this Special Issue, we invite submissions that explore the synthesis and construction of low-dimensional materials and structures, as well as the study of new physical phenomena or the fabrication of high-performance devices in this system. Synthesis technology of low dimensional materials is generally available, but there are only a few types of materials that can be prepared at wafer size. In addition, defects and contamination are not yet compliant with specifications defined for production. The hetero-structure that can be constructed is relatively simple and cannot meet the requirements of complex functions. For this Special Issue, particularly welcome will be works that explore new growth mechanisms, and design new growth schemes to realize the reliable preparation of low-dimensional materials with large areas and high quality as well as the construction of complex heterogeneous structures.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Applied Sciences is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
