Special Issue Information

Dear Colleague,

I can announce a Special Issue titled “Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: Risk Management and Postoperative Recovery”.

Today, risk assessments, the prevention of accidents and reducing operative and post-operative complications are among the most relevant topics.

Increasing their care load makes clinicians vulnerable to making errors, and young colleagues are particularly predisposed to making mistakes due to their inexperience or poor tolerance of the workload.

In some cases, no apparent errors are made but an adverse event can happen anyway.

In some cases, such events end without consequences, but, in other cases, they cause serious injury to the victim and, sometimes, even death.

In surgery, the post-operative recovery period is the time when most accidents occur.

Therefore, I invite you to send your valuable contribute for publication in this Special  Issue, because reducing the risk of adverse events and guaranteeing our patients the best possible safety must be our priority.

Dr. Luciano Maria Catalfamo
Guest Editor
