2020	The inaugural issue was released. Applied Mechanics was published as a quarterly journal.
2022	Applied Mechanics was indexed in Scopus (Elsevier), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1).
2024	Applied Mechanics was indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)—Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), starting with Volume 1 (Issue 1). The South African Association for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (SAAM) became affiliated to Applied Mechanics.
