Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The intestinal microbiota of fish play an important role in growth and development, immune regulation, nutrition metabolism, breeding, and many other aspects of fish. Being closely related to health and disease, the composition and structure of fish intestinal microbiota is affected by many factors of fish, including genetics, age and developmental stage, food composition, sex, physiological state, physicochemical environment, etc. This Special Issue will publish research papers and reviews on fish intestinal microbiota, including (1) the formation and establishment of fish intestinal microbiota; (2) the influence of different external factors on fish intestinal microbiota; (3) the relationship and interaction between host and intestinal microbiota; (4) the relationship and interaction between intestinal bacteria (good bacteria and good bacteria, good bacteria and bad bacteria); (5) the role of intestinal microbiota in fish health and disease; and (6) the regulatory effects of probiotics, prebiotics and plant extracts on fish intestinal microbiota. In summary, this Special Issue aims to publish original, cutting-edge research and reviews that relate to all aspects of fish intestinal microbiota.
