Joanneum Research Forschungsgesellschaft mbH Joins Agreement between MDPI and KEMÖ
MDPI and the Joanneum Research Forschungsgesellschaft mbH, one of Austria’s leading research institutions, have reached an agreement to incorporate Joanneum Research into the ongoing agreement between MDPI and KEMÖ.
At the beginning of 2022, the ongoing consortium agreement between MDPI and the Kooperation E-Medien Österreich (KEMÖ) was renewed through to the end of 2022.
Authors affiliated with a participating institution receive a 20% discount on the article processing charge (APC) for any paper published in an MDPI journal. With the agreement, we intend to intensify our collaboration with Austrian authors and help them to benefit from publishing across our portfolio of open access journals.

Kooperation E-Medien Österreich (KEMÖ), the Austrian Academic Library Consortium, is a strong proponent of open access internationally, with a mission to provide students, teaching staff, scientists and library visitors with up-to-date online scientific information.
MDPI is publishing more than 380 peer-reviewed open access journals across all scientific disciplines, supported by more than 115,000 academic experts. We now have seven active consortia agreements and we are seeking to support other national consortia in the transition to fully open access publishing.
