Dr. Kinga Korniejenko is an Associate Professor and Chair of materials engineering at the Cracow University of Technology (CUT), Faculty of Materials Engineering and Physics. She received her first PhD in Management at Jagiellonian University and her second in Materials Engineering at CUT, focusing on geopolymer composites. Her research interests include innovation management, environmental aspects, and composite material engineering—in particular, fly ash-based geopolymer composites reinforced by short fibers, as well as 3D printing for concrete and geopolymers. She was recently involved in a project related to 3D printing of geopolymer materials. She is the author and co-author of more than 240 publications, including more than 150 indexed in the Scopus database (Hirsch index = 27; approximately 2,500 citations), in the areas of material engineering and environmentally friendly technologies, including the application of additive manufacturing in the construction industry. She has experience coordinating national and international projects and working together with industry, including participation in common R&D projects. She is an expert in national and international programmes (including HORIZON EUROPE) and a reviewer for JCR journals. She was on the Stanford University Top 2% Scientists list of most-cited researchers in 2022, 2023, and 2024. |

Dr. Weronika Gorka-Kumik completed her bachelor’s (2014) and master’s (2016) degrees in advanced materials and nanotechnology at Jagiellonian University in Krakow, and earned her PhD (2021) in biophysics from the same institution. She joined MDPI in December 2020 as an Assistant Editor, becoming one of the first 10 employees in the Krakow office. In August 2021, she was promoted to Section Managing Editor and simultaneously appointed Group Leader, overseeing multiple sections and a team that has since grown to 17 members. In July 2024, she became Journal Relations Specialist for Polymers, and two months later, Country-Level PR Coordinator. Since then, she has held researcher meetings (both online and in person), represented MDPI at various conferences and events, and led several workshops on scientific publishing. |
