Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsGeneral comment: In the manuscript “Foam Pressure Mapping with Optimized Electrodes”, the authors describe a modular measurement system that uses an ATtiny 1627 microcontroller to measure the pressure at nine electrodes. The nine electrode modules are controlled by an ESP32 microcontroller that aggregates the data and wirelessly transmits the data to a tablet. The modular system is demonstrated with 1008 individual electrodes. The characterization of the electrode combined with the NCPF is provided along with an optimizing of the electrode geometry. Before the recommendation to publication, I have some concerns which are expected to be addressed by the authors.
(1) In Figure 9, the resistance changes with applied pressure under incomplete linear relationship, why it is incomplete linear?
(2) The impedance vs frequency over various frequency ranges, it’s noted that with increasing of frequency, the impedance decrease. What is the intrinsic mechanism, the authors should add in the manuscript.
(3) Several articles on pressure sensing and triboelectric effect are very relevant to this work, which should be referenced in the manuscript including: Advanced Functional Materials, 2018, 28, 1802989; Advanced Functional Materials, 2018, 28, 1805277.

The impedance vs frequency over various frequency ranges, it’s noted that with increasing of frequency, the impedance decrease. What is the intrinsic mechanism, the authors should add in the manuscript.”
Both of these comments are address by the text that was added after Figure 9 discussing the linearity of the pressure versus impedance.

At the beginning of section 2.3 text was added stating the primary objective of optimizing the electrodes.

In the Discussion section a sentence was added explaining that the strain rate and foam relaxation are more significant to precision and accuracy than the electrode optimization.

At the beginning of section 2.3 text was added stating the specific parameters are the electrode gap and width.
