Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

In this research, a commercial filament has been used (without mentioning its exact specifications) for numerical and experimental investigation of magnetic properties. The most important parameter in investigating the magnetic and electrical properties of polymer-based composites is the type, amount and distribution of nanoparticles.

The novelty of the research is not presented. Also, in the abstract, quantitative results will be presented.

There are different grades of iron oxide that have very different magnetic properties. It is mandatory to mention the exact specifications of the raw material, especially the filler, in the abstract.

In addition to the grade, the amount of nanoparticles used is mandatory.

In relation to filler distribution, it is better to use SEM images.

The references used in the introduction, especially the first page, lines 38 to 40, can be modified and newer sources in this field (FDM printing of PETG) can be used, especially for the research material.

In the thermal analysis results section, no analysis is presented and only the results are reported, which is not acceptable for a research paper.

Author Response

We wish to thank the Reviewer for the useful comments, which we believe will help in improving the overall quality of the manuscript. All the changes made to the manuscript to address the reviewers’ comments have been highlighted in red in the revised version.

Reply: Thank you for your comment. We have added novelty ideas to our manuscript.

Reply: Thank you for your comment, and we have added more information about using additives.

In addition to the grade, the amount of nanoparticles used is mandatory.

Reply: We agree with this point of view, and we have determined the amount of additives.

In relation to filler distribution, it is better to use SEM images.

Reply: We agree with this comment. We have added SEM images from observation to the manuscript.

Reply: We thank you for this comment, and we have added newer references.

In the thermal analysis results section, no analysis is presented, and only the results are reported, which is not acceptable for a research paper.

Reply: We have demonstrated graphs from thermal analysis to the text.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is focused on optimizing the filling density of printed structures composed of PET G containing iron oxides with regard to maintaining the required magnetic characteristics (sufficient permeability values). Five ranges of filling density are taken i.e.  0 %, 20 %, 50 %, 80 %, and 100 %. The topic is quite appealing. But needs some major changes to address for further improvement of the manuscript.

·       Please consider reviewing the abstract and highlighting the novelty, major findings and conclusions.

·       What are the applications of PET-G-containing iron oxides?

·       Authors should explain the main theoretical and practical contributions of this study (optimizing the filling density and study of magnetic characteristics i.e., permeability values) in this research field.

·       There is very less novelty of this work, authors must mention the novelty of this work.

·       An extensive improvement in syntax and grammar is suggested. Also, the text size should be maintained as per the journal format & guidelines.

·       Conclusion section could be improved nu highlighting major findings and future scope.

Hence, reframing of the manuscript should be done. Overall, the manuscript quality is good to publish.
