The article contains new interesting results that make it possible to carry out hygrothermal and whole building simulations for a large number of locations. The methods used by the authors effectively reduce the bias for all studied climate variables.

There is a small note on the article. There is no explanation why such weights for climate parameters were assigned in Table 2.

Response: Thank you for the useful comments. Our responses are provided below.

There is a small note on the article. There is no explanation why such weights for climate parameters were assigned in Table 2.

Response: The weights are assigned following the original studies of Hall et al. (1978) to reflect the relative contribution of different climate variables in affecting the energy performance of buildings. This clarification has been added in page 10 paragraph 2 of the revised paper.
