Dear authors, 

I believe you have touched a very interesting issue by focusing on innovative mesosystems in Russian industry in the context of sustainable development based on the CART algorithm and to develop an algorithm for identifying priority areas of sustainable development that are adequate to the identified type of mesosystems. Your study tackles a hot topic nowadays, especially taking into account developing a systematic approach and the CART algorithm. The manuscript needs revisions in terms of content, in accordance with the academic standards of the journal. Please find these comments in the following paragraphs.

General comments:

The manuscript “Innovative mesosystems algorithm for sustainable development priority areas identification in industry based on decision trees construction” needs careful English proofreading because there are some shortcomings. For instance, the article “the” is sometimes missing in front of nouns, the message in some paragraphs is not clear enough.        

Regarding the abstract, I suggest the authors to focus more on emphasizing the results of the study and their importance. The authors must show the novelty of the research as compared to other research in this field.

In the introduction and the theoretical discussions sections, authors should stress more how increasing their proposal the economic theory for nonlinear behavior in financial series.

1. This study uesd mesoscopic system of innovation evaluation method for the sustainable development model of the mesoscopic system of industrial production's innovation in Russian.
2. Regarding the part of the research method, through the observation of the relevant equations, unique methodology for innovative mesosystems sustainable development (ISDI) assessment evaluation method mentioned in this study seems reasonable for the measurement of innovation and sustainable development in Russian industrial production, but it is lack of verification and support for statistical methods.
3. The author can provide the incremental contribution of their paper to the literature.

I read a very interesting piece of work. Congratulation on the hard work!

Some comments:

• You do not define a mesosystem in the introduction. What is its difference with respect to micro- and macrosystems?
• You do not explain why do you specifically opt for the CART algorithm in the introduction except for the Gini index.
• You do not write properly the references: Zhao et al. (which year?), Lubnina et al. (which year?), etc.
• Page 9, lines 292-300: You have to better explain the classification tree! It is confusing.
• Page 10, line 338: It is section 2 (not 1)
• Which data is the most influential in this decision making? Please answer in the conclusive section.
