In the original publication [1], there were mistake in references [18–21]. Concerns were raised about the references.
Due to this matter, the following references were removed from the reference list:

After removing references [18–21], the following sentence should also be deleted:
“As mentioned previously, coatings and protective layers could reduce the damage caused by corrosion. Steel pipelines can be corroded externally or internally [18–20], even if the transmitted fluid contains inhibitors [21].”
With this correction, the order of some references has been adjusted accordingly.
The authors state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected. This correction was approved by the Academic Editor. The original publication has also been updated.
