Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors,

This review illustrates interesting insights into the complex roles that may be played by Zn, Vit. A and Vit. D   in preventing epithelial barrier leaks. The design is appropriate with relevant references and explanations. I recommend the publication of this article.

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors have written a review article elucidating a few factors that cause epithelial barrier leakage and describe how micronutrients can can rectify this leakage. The language is simple and well written.

I recommend the manuscript for publication
