Dear Colleagues,
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) represents one of the leading causes of death and disability globally and continues to pose a significant burden on healthcare systems and society. Owing to its complex and heterogeneous nature, TBI presents substantial challenges in diagnosis, acute management, and long-term recovery. In recent years, important advances have improved our understanding of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of injury and have led to the development of new biomarkers, advanced imaging modalities, and innovative therapeutic approaches. In parallel, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and precision medicine are creating new opportunities for personalized care and outcome prediction.
We are pleased to invite investigators and healthcare professionals to contribute to this Topic entitled “New Advances in Traumatic Brain Injury.” The objective of this collection is to provide a comprehensive overview of recent progress and future perspectives in TBI research and clinical management.
Aim and Scope
This Topic seeks to encourage multidisciplinary collaboration and support the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical practice. The topic is well aligned with the journal’s focus on neuroscience, neurology, neurocritical care, rehabilitation, and related biomedical disciplines. By integrating basic, translational, and clinical research, this collection aims to enhance our understanding of TBI pathophysiology and promote the development of more effective diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
