The Sporulation-Inspired Optimization Algorithm (SIOA) is an innovative metaheuristic optimization method inspired by the biological mechanisms of microbial sporulation and dispersal. SIOA operates on a dynamic population of solutions (“microorganisms”) and alternates between two main phases: sporulation, where new “spores” are generated through adaptive random perturbations combined with guided search towards the global best, and germination, in which these spores are evaluated and may replace the most similar and less effective individuals in the population. A distinctive feature of SIOA is its fully self-adaptive parameter control, where the dispersal radius and the probabilities of sporulation and germination are dynamically adjusted according to the progress of the search (e.g., convergence trends of the average fitness). The algorithm also integrates a special “zero-reset” mechanism, enhancing its ability to detect global optima located near the origin. SIOA further incorporates a stochastic local search phase to refine solutions and accelerate convergence. Experimental results demonstrate that SIOA achieves high-quality solutions with a reduced number of function evaluations, especially in complex, multimodal, or high-dimensional problems. Overall, SIOA provides a robust and flexible optimization framework, suitable for a wide range of challenging optimization tasks. Full article

In recent years, research in sequential recommendation has primarily refined user intent by constructing sequence-level contrastive learning tasks through data augmentation or by extracting preference information from the latent space of user behavior sequences. However, existing methods suffer from two critical limitations. Firstly, they fail to account for how random data augmentation may introduce unreasonable item associations in contrastive learning samples, thereby perturbing sequential semantic relationships. Secondly, the neglect of temporal dependencies may prevent models from effectively distinguishing between incidental behaviors and stable intentions, ultimately impairing the learning of user intent representations. To address these limitations, we propose TCLRec, a novel temporal-aware and intent contrastive learning framework for sequential recommendation, incorporating symmetry into its architecture. During the data augmentation phase, the model employs a symmetrical contrastive learning architecture and incorporates semantic enhancement operators to integrate user preferences. By introducing user rating information into both branches of the contrastive learning framework, this approach effectively enhances the semantic relevance between positive sample pairs. Furthermore, in the intent contrastive learning phase, TCLRec adaptively attenuates noise information in the frequency domain through learnable filters, while in the pre-training phase of sequence-level contrastive learning, it introduces a temporal-aware network that utilizes additional self-supervised signals to assist the model in capturing both long-term dependencies and short-term interests from user behavior sequences. The model employs a multi-task training strategy that alternately performs intent contrastive learning and sequential recommendation tasks to jointly optimize user intent representations. Comprehensive experiments conducted on the Beauty, Sports, and LastFM datasets demonstrate the soundness and effectiveness of TCLRec, where the incorporation of symmetry enhances the model’s capability to represent user intentions. Aiming at the problems of high-dimensional nonlinear constraints, multi-objective conflicts, and low solution efficiency in microgrid optimal scheduling, this paper proposes a multi-objective Harris Hawk–Grey Wolf hybrid intelligent algorithm (IMOHHOGWO). The problem of balancing the global exploration and local exploitation of the algorithm is solved by introducing an adaptive energy factor and a nonlinear convergence factor; in terms of the algorithm’s exploration scope, the stochastic raid strategy of Harris Hawk optimization (HHO) is used to generate diversified solutions to expand the search scope, and constraints such as the energy storage SOC and DG outflow are finely tuned through the α/β/δ wolf bootstrapping of the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO). It is combined with a simulated annealing perturbation strategy to enhance the adaptability of complex constraints and local search accuracy, at the same time considering various constraints such as power generation, energy storage, power sales, and power purchase. We establish the microgrid multi-objective operation cost and carbon emission cost objective function, and through the simulation examples, we verify and determine that the IMOHHOGWO hybrid intelligent algorithm is better than the other three algorithms in terms of both convergence speed and convergence accuracy. According to the results of the multi-objective test function analysis, its performance is superior to the other four algorithms. The IMOHHOGWO hybrid intelligent algorithm reduces the grid operation cost and carbon emissions in the microgrid optimal scheduling model and is more suitable for the microgrid multi-objective model, which provides a feasible reference for future integrated microgrid optimal scheduling. Cyberattacks on pipeline operational technology systems pose growing risks to energy infrastructure. This study develops a physics-informed simulation and optimization framework for analyzing cyber–physical threats in petroleum pipeline networks. The model integrates networked hydraulic dynamics, SCADA-based state estimation, model predictive control (MPC), and a bilevel formulation for stealthy false-data injection (FDI) attacks. Pipeline flow and pressure dynamics are modeled on a directed graph using nodal pressure evolution and edge-based Weymouth-type relations, including control-aware equipment such as valves and compressors. An extended Kalman filter estimates the full network state from partial SCADA telemetry. The controller computes pressure-safe control inputs via MPC under actuator constraints and forecasted demands. Adversarial manipulation is formalized as a bilevel optimization problem where an attacker perturbs sensor data to degrade throughput while remaining undetected by bad-data detectors. This attack–control interaction is solved via Karush–Kuhn–Tucker (KKT) reformulation, which results in a tractable mixed-integer quadratic program. Test gas pipeline case studies demonstrate the covert reduction in service delivery under attack. Results show that undetectable attacks can cause sustained throughput loss with minimal instantaneous deviation. This reveals the need for integrated detection and control strategies in cyber–physical infrastructure. Full article

To address the issue of output anomalies that frequently occur in position sensors of permanent magnet synchronous motors within electromechanical actuation systems operating in harsh environments and can lead to degradation in system performance or operational interruptions, this paper proposes an integrated method for fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control based on the Cubature Kalman Filter (CKF). This approach effectively combines state reconstruction, fault diagnosis, and fault-tolerant control functions. It employs a CKF observer that utilizes innovation and residual sequences to achieve high-precision reconstruction of rotor position and speed, with convergence assured through Lyapunov stability analysis. Furthermore, a diagnostic mechanism that employs dual-parameter thresholds for position residuals and abnormal duration is introduced, facilitating accurate identification of various fault modes, including signal disconnection, stalling, drift, intermittent disconnection, and their coupled complex faults, while autonomously triggering fault-tolerant strategies. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method maintains excellent accuracy in state reconstruction and fault tolerance under disturbances such as parameter perturbations, sudden load changes, and noise interference, significantly enhancing the system’s operational reliability and robustness in challenging conditions. Recent developments in fixed-point theory have focused on iterative techniques for approximating solutions, yet there remain important questions about whether different methods are equivalent and how well they resist perturbations. In this study, two recently proposed algorithms, referred to as the DF and AR iteration methods, are shown to be connected by proving that they converge similarly when applied to contraction mappings in Banach spaces, provided that their control sequences meet specific, explicit conditions. This work extends previous research on data dependence by removing restrictive assumptions related to both the perturbed operator and the algorithmic parameters, thereby increasing the range of situations where the results are applicable. Utilizing a non-asymptotic analysis, the authors derive improved error bounds for fixed-point deviations under operator perturbations, achieving a tightening of these estimates by a factor of 3–15 compared to earlier results. A key contribution of this study is the demonstration that small approximation errors lead only to proportionally small deviations from equilibrium, which is formalized in bounds of the form s*s˜* O(ε/(1λ)). These theoretical findings are validated through applications involving integral equations and examples from function spaces. Overall, this work unifies the convergence analysis of different iterative methods, enhances guarantees regarding stability, and provides practical tools for robust computational methods in areas such as optimization, differential equations, and machine learning. By relaxing structural constraints and offering a detailed sensitivity analysis, this study significantly advances the design and understanding of iterative algorithms in applied mathematics. We consider first-order impulses for impulsive stochastic differential equations driven by fractional Brownian motion (fBm) with Hurst parameter H(12,1) involving a nonlinear ϕ-Laplacian operator. The system incorporates both state and derivative impulses at fixed time instants. First, we establish the existence of at least one mild solution under appropriate conditions in terms of nonlinearities, impulses, and diffusion coefficients. We achieve this by applying a nonlinear alternative of the Leray–Schauder fixed-point theorem in a generalized Banach space setting. The topological structure of the solution set is established, showing that the set of all solutions is compact, closed, and convex in the function space considered. Our results extend existing impulsive differential equation frameworks to include fractional stochastic perturbations (via fBm) and general ϕ-Laplacian dynamics, which have not been addressed previously in tandem. These contributions provide a new existence framework for impulsive systems with memory and hereditary properties, modeled in stochastic environments with long-range dependence. Full article

Rocket launches constitute a major anthropogenic source of disturbance in the near-Earth space environment, inducing significant ionospheric perturbations through both chemical and dynamic mechanisms. This study presents a systematic analysis of ionospheric disturbances—specifically, electron density depletion and traveling ionospheric disturbances (TIDs)—triggered by four rocket launches from China’s Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center between 2023 and 2025. Using high-rate, multi-constellation GNSS data from 370 ground stations and BeiDou GEO satellites, we extracted total electron content (TEC) signals and applied advanced detection methods, including the Multi-Rolling-Multi-Image-Tracking (MRMIT) algorithm for depletion identification and a parametric integration framework for quantitative comparison. Our results reveal that all launches produced rapid TEC depletions, evolving along the rocket trajectory and peaking within approximately 30 min. Launch mass was the dominant factor controlling depletion intensity, while propellant chemistry (UDMH-based vs. liquid oxygen/methane) and local time/background TEC levels modulated the recovery rate and spatial extent. Additionally, distinct TIDs exhibiting wave-like and V-shaped structures were observed, propagating outward from the trajectory with latitudinal variations in amplitude and waveform. These findings highlight the critical roles of rocket attributes and ambient ionospheric conditions in shaping disturbance characteristics. The study underscores the value of multi-source GNSS networks and novel methodologies in monitoring anthropogenic space weather effects, with implications for GNSS performance and sustainable space operations. The frequency characteristics of the switching-mode power supply (SMPS) control loop under all operating conditions are crucial for performance evaluation and defect detection. Traditional methods, relyingon experiments under preset conditions, struggle to achieve comprehensive evaluation. This study proposes a frequency characteristic fitting method for all operating conditions based on FT-WOA-MLP. A discrete-point dataset covering all conditions of an LLC SMPS was obtained using the small-signal perturbation method, including input voltage, output current, injection frequency, and corresponding amplitude- and phase-frequency characteristics. The multilayer perceptron (MLP) model was trained on the training set covering all operating conditions, with the whale optimization algorithm (WOA) used to optimize the learning rate, and fine tuning (FT) applied to further enhance accuracy. Independent test set validation showed that, for amplitude-frequency characteristics, the mean absolute error (MAE) was 2.0995, the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) was 0.0974, the root mean square error (RMSE) was 4.0474, and the coefficient of determination (R2) reached 0.92; for phase-frequency characteristics, the MAE was 3.502, the MAPE was 0.0956, the RMSE was 10.5192, and the R2 reached 0.94. The method accurately fits frequency characteristics under all conditions, supporting defect identification and performance optimization. Full article

The fault diagnosis of complex systems is essential for ensuring operational safety. The belief rule base (BRB), a rule-driven framework based on expert knowledge, is widely applied in fault diagnosis because of its ability to manage uncertainty. However, existing BRB models rely heavily on large amounts of high-quality labeled data, and their performance decreases when labels are scarce or noisy. To address this limitation, a perturbed self-training-based BRB method (PS-BRB) is proposed. In this approach, pseudo-labels for unlabeled samples are first inferred by an initial BRB, and Gaussian noise is introduced into the inputs to simulate perturbations. Samples that produce consistent predictions before and after perturbation are retained through class consistency checking. The Jensen–Shannon (JS) divergence then measures the difference between belief distributions, and high-quality pseudo-labels are selected according to the 90th percentile criterion. These pseudo-labels are incorporated into the training set to optimize BRB rules and parameters. The method is validated on two bearing datasets, and the results show improved diagnostic accuracy and applicability, which indicates potential for use in practical engineering scenarios. Indirect detection phase control algorithms, such as the dithering algorithm and the stochastic parallel gradient descent algorithm (SPGD), have simple system structures and are applicable to filled-aperture coherent combinations with high efficiency. The performances of these algorithms are limited when applied to a coherent combination of pulsed fiber lasers with a low repetition rate (≤5 kHz). Firstly, due to the overlap of the phase noise frequency and repetition rate, conventional algorithms cannot effectively distinguish the phase noise from the pulse fluctuation, and directly applying filtering will result in the phase information being filtered out. Secondly, if the pulse fluctuation is ignored and only the continuous part of the phase information is utilized, it relies on the presetting of conditions to separate the pulse from the continuous part and loses the phase information of the pulse part. In this article, we propose a waveform self-referencing algorithm (WSRA) based on a two-channel near-infrared laser coherent combination system to overcome the above challenges. Firstly, by modelling a self-referencing waveform, a nonlinear scaling operation is performed on the combined signal to generate a pseudo-continuous signal, which removes the intrinsic pulse fluctuation while preserving the phase noise information. Secondly, the phase control signal is calculated based on the pseudo-continuous signals after parallel perturbation. Finally, the phase noise is corrected by optimization. The results show that our method effectively suppresses the waveform fluctuation at a 5 kHz repetition rate, the light intensity reaches an ideal value (0.9939 Imax), and the root-mean-square (RMS) phase error is only 0.0130 λ. This method does not require the presetting of pulse detection thresholds or conditions, and solves the challenge of coherent combination at a low repetition rate, with adaptability to different pulse waveforms. In this paper, we present some existence and stability results for the fixed point inclusion in the case of multi-valued self contractions, on a complete vector-valued B-metric space. Our main existence result for the fixed point problem extends to the multi-valued setting with a recent result obtained for the single-valued case. Moreover, data dependence on the operator perturbation of the fixed point set and some stability theorems (Ulam–Hyers stability, well-posedness and Ostrowski stability) are proved, in order to have a complete study of the fixed point inclusion. This research develops a novel coupled system of nonlinear hybrid stochastic fractional differential equations that integrates neutral effects, stochastic perturbations, and hybrid switching mechanisms. The system is formulated using the Atangana–Baleanu–Caputo fractional operator with a non-singular Mittag–Leffler kernel, which enables accurate representation of memory effects without singularities. Unlike existing approaches, which are limited to either neutral or hybrid stochastic structures, the proposed framework unifies both features within a fractional setting, capturing the joint influence of randomness, history, and abrupt transitions in real-world processes. We establish the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions via the Picard approximation method under generalized Carathéodory-type conditions, allowing for non-Lipschitz nonlinearities. In addition, mean-square Mittag–Leffler stability is analyzed to characterize the boundedness and decay properties of solutions under stochastic fluctuations. Several illustrative examples are provided to validate the theoretical findings and demonstrate their applicability. Full article

Adverse climate events have recently highlighted an increasing need to deploy sustainable energetic infrastructures. The existing electric conversion circuits for solar energy provide high efficiency; however, gaps in sustainability and robustness can be identified by considering their operation during intense perturbations, potentially occurring for interplanetary energy transfer. Additionally, charging characteristics for energy storage units influence differently the operation life of battery arrays, with increased stability providing favorable operating conditions. Therefore, the present study develops an alternative controller for managing solar energy as well as a prototype for tracking the maximum power point, both constrained by robustness and renewability studies. For the presented design, stability analyses and simulations validated the management of electric energy from solar panels and the developed configuration resulted in improving current peak integral transient characteristics by using an alternative control method, demonstrating stability for an indefinite number of energy storage units. Furthermore, the estimation for VLSI (Very-Large-Scale Integration) of this constrained design has been concluded to potentially provide a solution with adequate performance, comparable to state-of-the-art computational circuits. However, certain limitations could arise when substituting the main computation parts with analyzed solutions and proceeding with integration-based manufacturing. Full article

Partial shading in photovoltaic (PV) systems causes multiple local maximum power points (LMPPs), complicating tracking and reducing energy efficiency. Conventional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods, such as Perturb and Observe (P&O), often fail because of oscillations and entrapment at local maxima. To address these shortcomings, this study proposes a hybrid MPPT strategy combining artificial neural networks (ANNs) and the P&O algorithm to enhance tracking accuracy under partial shading while maintaining implementation simplicity. The research employs a detailed PV cell model in MATLAB/Simulink (2019b) that incorporates dynamic shading to simulate non-uniform irradiance. Within this framework, an ANN trained with the Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm predicts global maximum power points (GMPPs) from voltage and irradiance data, guiding and accelerating subsequent P&O operation. In the hybrid system, the ANN predicts the maximum power points (MPPs) to provide initial estimates, after which the P&O fine-tunes the duty cycle optimization in a DC-DC converter. The proposed hybrid ANN–P&O MPPT method achieved relative improvements of 15.6–49% in tracking efficiency, 16–20% in stability, and 14–54% in convergence speed compared with standalone P&O, depending on the irradiance scenario. This research highlights the potential of ANN-enhanced MPPT systems to maximize energy harvest in PV systems facing shading variability. Full article
