Motivation: In modern organizations where remote and hybrid work has become normalized, fostering trust without frequent face-to-face interaction is a critical management challenge. This study aims to explore how non-verbal digital dynamics associate with trust formation within hybrid product development teams from a teamwork science perspective, integrating Big Five traits and established trust scales. Methods: The empirical study observed twelve product development teams (N = 40) participating in a major innovation competition over an eight-month period. Dynamic behavioral data, including speaking time, nodding, smiling, and silence, were extracted from online workshop recordings using synchronized behavioral coding validated by high inter-rater reliability (Cohen’s Kappa k ≥ 0.78). These were integrated with Big Five personality traits, mutual trust scales, and idea value metrics into a Bayesian Network (BN) to model probabilistic dependencies. The structural model was validated using the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) to ensure predictive robustness. Furthermore, we performed sensitivity analysis on the BN to quantify how specific shifts in non-verbal cues—particularly nodding and the functional categories of silence—disproportionately affect the “Mutual Trust” node. While this exploratory study utilizes a sample of “digital native” student teams, it provides a critical baseline for “high digital fluency” collaboration, which we contextualize against the “asymmetric cues” found in multi-generational corporate environments. Results: Sensitivity analysis identified specific probabilistic associations suggesting that effective role fulfillment is the strongest predictor of idea originality. Crucially, nodding was identified as a behavioral ‘digital reward’ that enhances psychological safety, facilitating divergent thinking. Smiling showed a strong association with feasibility and consensus-building during convergent phases. The model further identifies distinct behavioral ‘fingerprints’: high-trust sequences are characterized by frequent non-verbal backchanneling and deliberate “thinking silences,” whereas low-trust sequences exhibit a disproportionate increase in unproductive lapses (e.g., a 10% increase in lapses correlating with an 18% decrease in trust probability). Furthermore, a probabilistic pathway was identified where teams with highly open members and frequent non-verbal validation exhibit higher mutual support behaviors. Conclusions: This research offers empirical insights into how trust can be modeled in hybrid environments through specific combinations of behavioral and personality traits. Practically, this study proposes “Hybrid Team Protocols”—such as intentional backchanneling and the normalization of deliberative silence—as actionable Organizational Development (OD) interventions. These provide managers with data-driven guidelines to visualize and monitor the quality of digital collaboration while emphasizing the ethical necessity of transparent implementation to prevent “digital performance” and ensure psychological safety across diverse organizational structures. Background: Childhood obesity rates remain high in the United States, with long-term implications for physical and mental health. Emerging research suggests that caregiving arrangements, particularly those involving non-parental caregivers such as grandparents, may influence adolescent health behaviors, including diet and physical activity. This study examined whether caregiver type (parents-only, grandparents-only, or multi-generational households) during adolescence predicted dietary patterns and physical activity trajectories into young adulthood. Methods: Data were drawn from 6260 participants in the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (Add Health). Caregiver type was identified at baseline (Wave 1), and dietary intake and physical activity were assessed across four waves from adolescence (~age 15) to early adulthood (~age 29). We employed generalized linear models and linear mixed-effects models with multiply imputed data to examine changes in sedentary behavior, individual exercise, and team sport participation over time, controlling for age, sex, and race. Results: Overall dietary intake at baseline did not significantly differ by caregiver type (Wilks’ Λ = 0.998, p = 0.389); however, an exploratory comparison indicated lower dairy consumption in homes with a grandparent present (t(6258) = 1.995, p = 0.046). Trajectories of individual exercise differed significantly by caregiver type over time (Time × Caregiver interaction: F(6, 10,395.601) = 2.795, p = 0.010), with adolescents in grandparent-only households reporting higher individual exercise at Wave 1. Sedentary behavior trajectories also significantly differed by caregiver group over time (Wave × Caregiver interaction: F(6, 18,951.310) = 23.026, p < 0.001). Baseline nutrition was positively associated with individual exercise trajectories into young adulthood (Time × Nutrition interaction: F(2.961, 13,096.103) = 3.974, p = 0.012). Conclusions: Caregiver structure during adolescence appears to shape long-term physical activity patterns, albeit modestly. These findings highlight the need to consider diverse family configurations—particularly grandparent-led households—when designing public health interventions to promote adolescent nutrition and physical activity. The demographic low, and thus the inevitable aging of the populations of economically developed countries, makes it necessary to extend the working life of citizens. Therefore, an increasing percentage of workers are representatives of the so-called “silver” generation, i.e., people over 50 years of age. The main objective of the study is to characterize the system of values, attitudes to work, and related expectations of professionally active women and men over 50 years of age and to determine whether, and if so, how the hierarchy of values, attitudes to work, and job satisfaction affect the further development of their professional careers. In order to achieve such a goal, a CAVI survey was conducted on a sample of n = 600 respondents. The statistical significance of the differences between the groups was tested with the Mann–Whitney U test. To verify the main hypothesis, ordinal logistic regression models were built. The results of the study were supplemented with elements of descriptive statistics. In the course of the research work, it was confirmed that there are significant differences between the studied men and women in the assessment of traits concerning their value hierarchy, attitudes towards work, and career prospects. Traits such as value hierarchy and attitudes toward work have a significant impact on the career development of both women and men of the “silver” generation, while job satisfaction shows a significant impact on career development only for women. First-line nurse managers play an integral role in ensuring team and organizational effectiveness and quality of care. They are facing increasing challenges arising from the need to lead a generation-diverse workforce. Further research that examines multi-generational perspectives on the competencies of first-line nurse managers is warranted. This paper aimed to elucidate multi-generational perspectives on the competencies required of first-line nurse managers based on their lived experiences and perceptions, as well as those of frontline nurses. A descriptive phenomenological approach was adopted. A total of 48 informants were invited to individual semi-structured interviews to share their perspectives on the competencies required of first-line nurse managers. Findings were analyzed using Van Kaam’s controlled explication method. Four themes that described four areas of competency were generated: (1) advocating for the interests of the staff, (2) allocating resources effectively, (3) building cohesive teams, and (4) embracing change and quality. The findings indicated that there were significant discrepancies among the different generations of informants in terms of their degree of commitment to work, preferred modes of team communication and collaboration, and perspectives on the role and function and preferred leadership styles of first-line nurse managers. This study fell short in examining the experiences of Generation Z nurses, and the findings are subject to further validation by larger samples. However, this study has implications for hospital administrators, nurse educators, and managers, encouraging them to rethink the notion of management competencies to develop effective strategies for leading a multi-generational workforce. We introduce a culture-centered indigenous program called the Family Listening Program (FLP), which was developed through a long-standing community-based participatory research (CBPR) partnership involving tribal research teams (TRTs) from three American Indian communities (Apache, Navajo, and Pueblo) with the University of New Mexico’s Center for Participatory Research (UNM-CPR). This paper provides background information on the TRT/UNM-CPR multi-generational FLP intervention funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse and how it is poised to take the next steps of dissemination and implementation (D&I). In preparing for the next steps, the TRT/UNM-CPR team piloted two FLP dissemination activities, first at the state-level and then nationally; this paper describes these activities. Based on the learnings from the pilot dissemination, the TRT/UNM-CPR team developed an innovative D&I model by integrating a community-based participatory research culture-centered science (CBPR-CCS) approach with the Interactive Systems Framework (ISF) to examine the uptake, cultural acceptance, and sustainability of the FLP as an evidence-based indigenous family program. In the North American Great Plains, multigenerational ranches and grassland biodiversity are threatened by dynamic and uncertain climatic, economic, and land use processes. Working apart, agricultural and conservation communities face doubtful prospects of reaching their individual goals of sustainability. Rangeland research could serve a convening platform, but experimental studies seldom involve local manager communities. The Collaborative Adaptive Rangeland Management (CARM) project, however, has undertaken a ten-year, ranch-level, participatory research effort to explore how community-engaged research can increase our understanding of conservation and ranching goals. Using ethnographic data and the nature-culture concept—which recognizes the inseparability of ecological relationships that are shaped by both biological and social processes—we examine the CARM team’s process of revising their management objectives (2016–2018). In CARM’s early days, the team established locally-relevant multifunctional goals and objectives. As team members’ understanding of the ecosystem improved, they revised objectives using more spatially, temporally and ecologically specific information. During the revision process, they challenged conventional ecological theories and grappled with barriers to success outside of their control. The emerging CARM nature-culture, based on a sense of place and grounded in hope, provides insights into effective community-engaged research to enhance rangeland livelihood and conservation outcomes.
