Ion-acoustic waves in dense quantum plasmas are strongly influenced by Fermi degeneracy, Landau quantization, and finite-temperature effects, and in many relevant environments, they also experience memory and nonlocal transport processes that cannot be captured within the planar integer Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) paradigm. In the present work, we revisit this problem by considering a two-fluid, partially degenerate electron-ion plasma in which electron trapping in the presence of a quantizing field and finite temperature is taken into account. Starting from the normalized fluid-Poisson system appropriate for such magnetized quantum plasmas, the reductive perturbation technique is used to derive the planar integer KdV equation for weakly nonlinear ion-acoustic disturbances. Within this integer-order KdV framework, we recast the evolution equation as a planar dynamical system, construct the associated Hamiltonian and effective Sagdeev-like potential, and demonstrate the existence of compressive solitary waves and nonlinear periodic modes via homoclinic and periodic phase-space orbits. Exact multi-soliton solutions and interaction states are then obtained by combining Hirota’s direct bilinear method with generalized Wronskian representations, allowing us to describe not only standard one-, two-, and three-soliton profiles but also positon-negaton interactions relevant to magnetized, partially degenerate plasmas. To incorporate hereditary and history-dependent effects that arise from anomalous transport and nonlocal temporal response in dense environments, we extend the model by introducing a Caputo time-fractional derivative, thereby obtaining a time-fractional KdV (FKdV) equation that continuously connects the classical KdV limit to fractional dynamics. The FKdV equation is analyzed using the Tantawy technique. This semi-analytical iterative scheme yields rapidly convergent series approximations for the fractional ion-acoustic soliton and provides explicit control of the approximation error. The fractional solutions show that varying the order of the Caputo derivative modifies the amplitude, width, and temporal relaxation of the solitary structures and can even split the pulse into two distinct lobes, in contrast with the nearly rigid propagation predicted by the integer-order KdV equation. Taken together, these results clarify how Landau quantization, finite electron temperature, and fractional-order memory jointly shape the morphology, robustness, and interaction properties of ion-acoustic structures in strongly magnetized quantum plasmas of astrophysical and high-energy-density laboratory interest. In this investigation, the nonlinear dust-acoustic waves in the lunar terminator region are studied in a three-component complex plasma comprising Boltzmann-distributed electrons and ions and inertial, cold, negatively charged dust grains. The fluid model is reduced, via the reductive perturbation technique, to a planar Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation that governs the evolution of small-amplitude dust-acoustic structures in this environment. Hirota’s direct method is then employed to derive exact multiple-soliton solutions, which allow us to examine the parameter dependence of dust-acoustic solitons and to characterize their overtaking collisions. The analysis shows that the soliton polarity and amplitude are controlled by the equilibrium electron–ion density ratio and the electron-to-ion temperature ratio, and that multi-soliton interactions remain elastic, with only finite phase shifts after collision. In the second part of the study, the planar integer KdV model is generalized to a time-fractional KdV (FKdV) equation to incorporate nonlocal temporal memory effects in the dust-acoustic dynamics. This FKdV equation is analyzed using two analytical approximation schemes: the Tantawy technique, recently proposed as a direct and rapidly convergent approach to fractional evolution equations, and the new iterative method, a widely used high-accuracy scheme in the fractional literature. For both methods, higher-order approximations are constructed, and their absolute and global maximum residual errors are quantified. The results demonstrate that the Tantawy technique provides compact approximations with superior accuracy and stability compared with the new iterative method for the present FKdV-soliton problem. The combined integer- and fractional-analytic framework provides a physically transparent framework for understanding how nonlinearity, dispersion, and fractional memory jointly shape dust-acoustic solitary structures in the electrostatically complex lunar terminator plasma, which is of paramount interest for future lunar missions like Luna-25 and Luna-27. This study addresses the complete integrability of a generalized multicomponent version of the first multiplicative Bogoyavlensky lattice with branched dispersion. The analysis is performed using the Hirota bilinear formalism and the periodic reduction technique. Initially, a two-dimensional mB1 lattice is considered, for which complete integrability is established by constructing its bilinear form and general multisoliton solutions via the Hirota bilinear formalism. A periodic reduction along the discrete independent variable is then applied to derive the coupled multicomponent mB1 lattice, along with its corresponding bilinear representation and multisoliton solutions. The resulting system serves as an integrable semi-discrete generalization of the classical Volterra-type equation. These findings contribute to the broader understanding of integrable lattice systems with branched dispersion relations and provide a constructive framework for obtaining explicit soliton solutions in multicomponent systems, which exhibit rich internal symmetry structures. This study employs the improved modified extended tanh method (IMETM) to derive exact analytical solutions of a higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger (HNLS) model, incorporating β-fractional derivatives in both time and space. Unlike classical methods such as the inverse scattering transform or Hirota’s bilinear technique, which are typically limited to integrable systems and integer-order operators, the IMETM offers enhanced flexibility for handling fractional models and higher-order nonlinearities. It enables the systematic construction of diverse solution types—including Weierstrass elliptic, exponential, Jacobi elliptic, and bright solitons—within a unified algebraic framework. The inclusion of fractional derivatives introduces richer dynamical behavior, capturing nonlocal dispersion and temporal memory effects. Visual simulations illustrate how fractional parameters α (space) and β (time) affect wave structures, revealing their impact on solution shape and stability. The proposed framework provides new insights into fractional NLS dynamics with potential applications in optical fiber communications, nonlinear optics, and related physical systems. Full article

This study sought to deepen our understanding of the dynamical properties of the newly extended (3+1)-dimensional integrable Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation, which models the behavior of ion acoustic waves in plasmas and nonlinear optics. This paper aimed to perform Lie symmetry analysis and derive lump, breather, and soliton solutions using the extended hyperbolic function method and the generalized logistic equation method. It also analyzed the dynamical system using chaos detection techniques such as the Lyapunov exponent, return maps, and the fractal dimension. Initially, we focused on constructing lump and breather soliton solutions by employing Hirota’s bilinear method. Secondly, employing Lie symmetry analysis, symmetry generators were utilized to satisfy the Lie invariance conditions. This approach revealed a seven-dimensional Lie algebra for the extended (3+1)-dimensional integrable KP equation, incorporating translational symmetry (including dilation or scaling) as well as translations in space and time, which were linked to the conservation of energy. The analysis demonstrated that this formed an optimal sub-algebraic system via similarity reductions. Subsequently, a wave transformation method was applied to reduce the governing system to ordinary differential equations, yielding a wide array of exact solitary wave solutions. The extended hyperbolic function method and the generalized logistic equation method were employed to solve the ordinary differential equations and explore closed-form analytical solitary wave solutions for the diffusive system under consideration. Among the results obtained were various soliton solutions. When plotting the results of all the solutions, we obtained bright, dark, kink, anti-kink, peak, and periodic wave structures. The outcomes are illustrated using 2D, 3D, and contour plots. Finally, upon introducing the perturbation term, the system’s behavior was analyzed using chaos detection techniques such as the Lyapunov exponent, return maps, and the fractal dimension. The results contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamic properties of the extended KP equation in fluid mechanics. Full article

This paper examines carbon emission allowances and pricing mechanisms in the context of climate change, utilizing nonlinear evolution equation theory. Through empirical analysis of European Union EUA option data using the EGARCH model, the study identifies non-normal distribution characteristics in carbon market returns and explores how policy innovations influence price fluctuations. A key contribution is its application of soliton theory to analyze carbon price dynamics. By employing integrable systems like the (1 + 1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation, it aims to develop a mathematical model for carbon price stability. The research calculates the Lax pair for this system and uses Hirota’s bilinear method among other techniques to investigate whether carbon prices can exhibit soliton phenomena with consistent waveforms and amplitudes. This work provides insights into the carbon market’s dynamics and lays a theoretical foundation for better simulation, market behavior prediction, and optimization of climate policies. Full article

A nonlinear (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Geng equation that can be utilized to explain the dynamics of shallow-water waves in fluids is given special attention. Various wave solutions are produced with the aid of the Hirota bilinear and Cole–Hopf transformation techniques. By selecting the appropriate polynomial function and implementing the distinct transformations in bilinear form, bright lump waves, dark lump waves, and rogue waves (RWs) are generated. A positive quadratic transformation and cosine function are combined in Hirota bilinear form to evaluate the RW solutions. Typically, RWs have crests that are noticeably higher than those of surrounding waves. These waves are also known as killer, freak, or monster waves. The lump periodic solutions (LPSs) are obtained using a combination of the cosine and positive quadratic functions. The lump-one stripe solutions are computed by using a mix of positive quadratic and exponential transformations to the governing equation. The lump two-stripe solutions are obtained by using a mix of positive quadratic and exponential transformations to the governing equation. The interactional solutions of lump, kink, and periodic wave solutions are obtained. Additionally, mixed solutions with butterfly waves, X-waves and lump waves are computed. The Ma breather (MB), Kuznetsov–Ma breather (KMB), and generalized breathers GBs are generated. Furthermore, solitary wave solution is obtained and a relation for energy of the wave via ansatz function technique. Full article

In this manuscript, we implement analytical multiple soliton wave and singular soliton wave solutions for coupled mKdV with a time-dependent variable coefficient. Based on the similarity transformation and Hirota bilinear technique, we construct both multiple wave kink and wave singular kink solutions for coupled mKdV with a time-dependent variable coefficient. We implement the Hirota bilinear technique to compute analytical solutions for the coupled mKdV system. Such calculations are made by using a software with symbolic computation software, for instance, Maple. Recently some researchers used Maple in order to show that the bilinear method of Hirota is a straightforward technique which can be used in the approach of differential, nonlinear models. We analyzed whether the experiments proved that the procedure is effective and can be successfully used for many other mathematical models used in physics and engineering. The results of this study display that the profiles of multiple-kink and singular-kink soliton types can be efficiently controlled by selecting the particular form of a similar time variable. The changes in the solitons based on the changes in the arbitrary function of time allows for more applications of them in applied sciences. Full article

Taking complex conjugate values of the free parameters, various colliding exact solutions in the form of rogue wave, symmetric bell soliton and rogue waves form; breather waves, the interaction of a bell and rogue wave, and two colliding rogue wave solutions are constructed. To explore the characteristics of the breather waves, localized in any direction, the higher-order KdV-5 model, which describes the promulgation of weakly nonlinear elongated waves in a narrow channel, and ion-acoustic, and acoustic emission in harmonic crystals symmetrically is analyzed. In this paper, the Hirota bilinear method, which is an important scheme, is used. The equation of the shallow water wave in oceanography and atmospheric science is extended to (3+1) dimensions, which is a well-known equation. A lot of classes of rational solutions by selecting the interaction between a lump and one- or two-soliton solutions are obtained. The bilinear form is considered in terms of Hirota derivatives. Accordingly, the logarithm algorithm to obtain the exact solutions of a (3+1)-dimensional variable-coefficient (VC) generalized shallow water wave equation is utilized. The analytical treatment of extended homoclinic breather wave solutions is studied and plotted in three forms 3D, 2D, and density plots. Using suitable mathematical assumptions, the established solutions are included in view of a combination of two periodic and two solitons in terms of two trigonometric and two hyperbolic functions for the governing equation. Maple software for computing the complicated calculations of nonlinear algebra equations is used. The effect of the free parameters on the behavior of acquired figures to a few obtained solutions for two nonlinear rational exact cases was also discussed. Full article
