Dear Colleagues,

As the Editor-in-Chief of Water, I am pleased to announce the winners of the Water 2024 Travel Award. The award has been granted to Ms. Paula Catalina Ortiz Blanco, a PhD student at the Department of Civil, Geological and Mining Engineering, Polytechnique Montréal, Canada, who will attend the 3rd International Joint Conference on Water Distribution Systems Analysis & Computing and Control for the Water Industry to be held on 1–4 July 2024 in Italy; Ms. Tamara Leite, a PhD student at the School of Agriculture (ISA), University of Lisbon, Portugal, who will attend the Free Flow Conference 2024 to be held on 15–17 April in The Netherlands; Mr. Bernhard Jonathan Sattler, a PhD student at the Institute for the Protection of Terrestrial Infrastructures, German Aerospace Center, Germany, who will attend the 3rd International Joint Conference on Water Distribution Systems Analysis & Computing and Control for the Water Industry to be held on 1–4 July 2024 in Italy.

As the awardees, they will each receive an honorarium of CHF 800 and an electronic certificate.

With so many high-quality applicants, the evaluation process and final decision were challenging. We would like to thank all the applicants for submitting their diverse and fascinating range of research topics.
