Advances in Vehicular Communications: Protocols, Applications, and Services

Dear Colleagues,

Vehicular Communications (VC) is one of the emerging research fields in Vehicular Communication Networks. It involves communications among vehicles as well as roadside units and infrastructure. However, VC can play an active role to make vehicles safer on the road and contribute significantly in the design and deployment of autonomous vehicles worldwide. We are looking for original contributions in this Special Issue of Vehicles titled “Advances in Vehicular Communications: Protocols, Applications, and Services”.

Topics include but are not limited to protocol design, testing, and performance evaluation; system design, modeling, and simulation; routing protocol design and performance evaluation; new techniques for handling mobility and handover; energy efficient protocol design and testing; enhancing safety of vehicles; driver safety applications; machine learning-based vehicle detection algorithms; and standardization of protocols.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Vehicles is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
