Compact Objects

Section Information

The Compact Objects section focuses on the latest research developments in the field of compact stellar remnants. This is a vast area ranging from nuclear and particle physics all the way to general relativity and alternative theories of gravitation as well as astrophysics and multimessenger observations. This section covers both theoretical and observational studies of black holes, neutron stars, white dwarfs and more speculative objects that might exist in the Universe. Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the formation of such compact objects, their environment, their internal constitution, their structure, their evolution and their astrophysical manifestations.
