Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

This Special Issue suggests a dialogue between urban geographers and other interdisciplinary scholars, and thus goes a long way toward a more inclusive research agenda to nuance innovatory urban governance, its heterogeneous formation, implementation and politics. These findings will contribute to the conceptual and empirical framework for sustainable urban research, as well as effective innovative urban governance praxis.

  • Sustainable regional or urban policy agendas
  • The impact of COVID-19 and geopolitical contestants on sustainable practices
  • comparative imaginations, discourses, or materializations of innovative policies
  • transborder cooperative agendas for handling regional challenges
  • global policy mobilities under the current complex contexts
  • global emergent institutional forms and innovatory governance
  • The future of interdisciplinary sustainable urban policies
