Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

For this Special Issue, we are welcoming papers from a broad range of topics associated with information and communications technologies (ICT) for renewable energy (RE) integration.

ICT can play an important role in energy management, conservation and efficiency through sensing and control for REs integration. ICT can also contribute to higher resource utilization through shared systems and increased efficiency driven through smarter appliances, infrastructure, and manufacturing.

This Special Issue covers ICT-enabling capabilities to manage the volatile and distributed nature of renewable energy sources connected to the smart buildings and/or smart grids.

In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • ICTs for energy management;
  • Internet of Energy for REs integration;
  • ICTs for energy efficiency;
  • Machine learning for renewable energyapplications;
  • Data mining techniques for renewable energy evaluation;
  • Sustainability assessments of ICT-based solutions.

I look forward to receiving your contributions.
