3rd International Forum on Agri-Food Logistics and IV National Scientific Conference AGROLOGISTYKA

The conference is organized as part of the 2012 Agrologistics Forum in Food Economy (Agri-food Logistics) project, which aims - inter alia - is to create the basis for the rapprochement of scientific and economic environments and to develop research-scientific and business cooperation. The first conference meeting in 2012 were initiated the discussion and exchange of views and presentation of the results of research conducted in different research centre’s in the field of logistics agribusiness. The discussion acquired features of cyclical meetings.
This year the theme of the conference is: “Towards the Sustainability of Logistics in the Agri-Food Supply Chains”.
The processes occurring in the global economy imply the necessity to reorganize logistics processes in an environmentally friendly way, for example by: reducing the number of journeys, planning shorter transport distances, more direct shipping routes, improving packaging quality, transparency in all processes “from farm to fork”, as well as better use of existing resources. The aim of the Forum is to present the results of scientific research and practical experience in the logistics of the agri-food chains.
