Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In an environment characterized by rising complexity, heightened uncertainty, and the rapid integration of AI into financial and economic systems, understanding how individuals and organizations perceive and manage risk is more important than ever. Cognitive biases, affective responses, heuristics, professional expertise, and contextual factors all shape risk perceptions and influence decisions related to investment, valuation, forecasting, and resource allocation. This Special Issue seeks to advance our understanding of these behavioral influences and their implications for markets, corporate policies, and the broader information environment.
We invite submissions that employ experimental methods, behavioral approaches, or interdisciplinary frameworks to examine decision making under risk in financial and economic contexts. We welcome theoretical and empirical studies using laboratory, field, survey, or hybrid experimental designs, as well as conceptual papers that integrate insights from psychology, economics, accounting, finance, business, and related disciplines.
We look forward to receiving high‑quality contributions that deepen our understanding of how individuals and organizations interpret and respond to risk in today’s evolving financial and economic landscape.
