Travel Award

The Resources Travel Award was launched in 2017, and it is presented every year to encourage junior scientists to present their latest research at academic conferences in the field of natural resources, which helps to increase their influence. The application will open from May to January and winner will be announced by the end of March every year.

The Prize:
– CHF 800;
– A certificate.

Eligibility and Requirements

– Postdoctoral fellow (within 3 years of receiving PhD) or current PhD student.;
– Plans to attend an international conference in 2025 (oral presentation or poster) to present their own original work.

List of Documents for Application

– Outline of the research to be presented and its significance; why the applicant wishes to have the support of Resources; and details of a travel budget, including funding available from other sources. (1 page);
– CV, with a complete list of publications (1–2 pages, plus a publication list);
– Details of the conference to be attended and a copy of the abstract (indicating co-authors); indication of oral presentation or poster; acceptance letter or anticipated date of decision. (1 page)
– A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s supervisor or department head, which also confirms the applicant’s status as either a Ph.D. student or postdoctoral fellow. (1 page)
