Geohazards, including earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis, floods, volcanic eruptions, and glacier and permafrost melting, but also slower processes of ground deformation, erosion, and sediment transport, changes in fluvial courses, wildfires and associated hazards, and even natural and anthropic changes in land cover and use can pose significant threats to human life, infrastructure, and the environment. Remote sensing technologies have proven themselves to be invaluable tools for monitoring, assessing, and mitigating the impact of geohazards. This Special Issue aims to showcase the latest advancements in remote sensing techniques and methodologies for geohazard detection, monitoring, and management, focusing both on site-specific applications and regional studies.
We invite contributions covering a wide range of topics related to geohazards and remote sensing, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Earthquake monitoring and early warning systems using satellite imagery.
- Landslide detection and risk assessment through remote sensing data.
- Volcanic activity monitoring using spaceborne and airborne sensors.
- Tsunami and flood modelling using satellite observations.
- Integration of multi-sensor data for comprehensive geohazard analysis.
- Use of remote sensing for assessing the impact of geohazards on infrastructure.
- Advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence for geohazard detection.

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Remote Sensing is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
