Aims & Scope

Aims

Prosthesis (ISSN 2673-1592) is an international, peer-reviewed, and open access journal that provides an advanced forum on rehabilitation medicine. The primary purpose of this scientific journal is to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the field of medicine, reach an audience related to medicine and rehabilitation procedures, and also to report on everything related to physics, mathematics, engineering, and materials science. We welcome original research articles, reviews, communications, and case reports, as well as Special Issues on particular subjects.

The aim of Prosthesis is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. Therefore, the journal has no restriction on the maximum length of the papers. Full experimental details should be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

Scope

The coverage of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Limb prosthesis;
  • Joint prosthesis;
  • Prosthodontics;
  • Bioprosthetic heart valve;
  • Prostheses and devices applied to reconstructive medicine of the body;
  • Design, control, and biomechanics of prosthesis;
  • Prosthetic materials;
  • Prosthesis lifetime;
  • Prosthetic infection;
  • Customized prostheses made with CAD, CAM, 3D printing, and other techniques;
  • Medical devices and regulation.

MDPI takes the responsibility to enforce a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure to add high quality scientific works to the field of scholarly publication. MDPI takes such publishing ethics issues very seriously and our editors are trained to proceed in such cases with a zero tolerance policy. To verify the originality of content submitted to our journals, we use iThenticate to check submissions against previous publications.

Authors and publishers are encouraged to send review copies of their recent related books to the following address. Received books will be listed as Books Received within the journal's News & Announcements section.
